Read Our Reviews
When you’re looking at a particular product, the retail sites usually have a summary of the main features and include some marketing material supplied by the manufacturer. What you won’t find on these sites, or on most other review sites for that matter, is in-depth information and answers to some of the questions you really want to know. For example, how well does the product perform? What are its strengths and weaknesses? Is it right for me? You want to make sure that the saw you finally buy will tackle all those jobs you intend to use it for.
With this in mind, our product reviews try to leave no question unanswered. Unlike other review sites, we don’t simply rehash the information you can easily find on the main retail sites. Indeed, we research the product so thoroughly that our reviews often take several days to write. If you were to print some of our reviews out they would stretch to over 10 pages long. Our research includes reading user manuals, watching videos, collating user feedback and contacting manufacturers to clarify information. This helps us to piece together a full and accurate picture of the product. If there is any information missing or if we find anything contradictory, we will contact the manufacturer for clarification. We try to help you to understand which particular features will be of benefit to you and which you can do without. In summary, our reviews aim to cover every possible question you may have so that when you have finished reading them you will know if the product is suitable for you.

Sometimes you may find that you have several potential saws on your buying list but can’t make up your mind about which one to choose. Don’t worry, you can use our comparison table to compare products.
This table has a list of features which we deem to be the most important. You can sort the list by features, making it easy to compare similar model options which you might wish to investigate further. So, for example, you may be interested in saws ‘Under $100’ or ‘Electric saws’. Simply click on the table header tab and all the products in your chosen category will be listed together in the table.
Each time a review is completed we update the table. If you want to read our full review of any saw in the table you can do this by clicking on the ‘model name’ and you will be taken straight there.
Just click ‘Compare Chainsaws’ on the top menu to head over to our comparison site.

• How do two very similar products compare with each other?
• What safety features do chainsaws incorporate?
• What’s the difference between bucking, limbing and felling?
• What kind of power cord do I need for a particular electric saw?
As with the review section, we will be adding articles on a regular basis so please do revisit us from time to time.
